    Which BIOS?

How can I identify which BIOS I have installed under in a SuSE environment?

I want to know so I can find out whether this can be done:

"One quick solution is to activate the (LBA or large) access mode (under which the hard disk was previously addressed) for the hard disk(s) in the computer's BIOS. Important: the hard disk values should not be set to "AUTO"."

I need as much information about my BIOS as possible to resolve this issue:

You could really continue in the other thread

I tried this, but I couldnt find the option anywhere in my BIOS, try holding F1 at startup, the bios should load. Have a look around and see if you can see what they are talking about, but don't change anything unless you really are sure.
