    i need help

    im not sure if this is the right place for this but, i have a computer that i wiped the hard drive, now i want to play windows games. Somone told me that suse has that capability is that true? and if not what linux can?

    Any version of Linux can with the help of WINE, and/or Cedega:

    Wine HQ

    TransGaming Inc.

    That's not to say that every Windows game will work with one of these extra packages.

    I've never run openSuse myself, but if you plan to run it the installation CD/DVD might come with WINE on it by default. Otherwise, you'd probably be better off using YAST to install a WINE package from here:

    Wine - openSUSE

    Maybe someone that runs openSuse will step in with some help.

    OZAR is right. Get the package through Yast. trying to compile it from source will just get you headaches. Wine comes on the installation DVD and you can get the latest patches from above link.
