Updating 10.2 to 10.3
I'm trying to upgrade SuSE 10.2 to 10.3, and keep getting the same dependency error for nearly every file, cannot satisfy requirement libcurl.so.3
I did think that I'd get away with just deleting the programs that I can't satisfy and reinstalling them but when some of them are yast and libzyp I did worry a bit that my system might not work anymore...
Any ideas on what the problem is or where I can get the files I need to resolve the dependencies?

IMO you should always install not upgrade. When you install you have the option of preserving the /home partition. This saves your settings and personal data. Simply tell the installer to not format that partition and mount it as /home. This does format the /root partition thus removing any installed programs that might be in /root. By reinstalling these apps you avoid the dependency problems you are seeing. Updating only seems to work if you have a very vanilla install. It also has the advantage of leaning out the floatsome of stuff you installed but don't really need.
