    Unhappy openSUSE 10.3 install problem

    Trying to install openSUSE 10.1.
    Whenn I instal, all defaults, and I attempt tp boot from disk. I get the following:

    "Booting from local disk..."
    "GRUB loading stage1.5."

    "GRUB loading, please wait..."
    "Error 18"

    Any suggestions?

    During the installation an error might have ocured and it didn't fully install grub, or it was corrupted for whatever reason. Try to reinstall grub using a livecd.

    Sounds as though the default installation may have exceeded BIOS support - see grub manual GNU GRUB Manual 0.97
