    I was just wondering what's the maximum amount of Ram you can use on opensuse i know window's xp its 2gig and vista its 8gig is there any where i can check thanks

    On any 32-bit SUSE it's 3GB, on 64-bit it's something obscene (possibly terabytes). You can use a PAE kernel in 32-bit to run up to 64GB but it's a false economy as the memory used to manage the addresses result in a net usable RAM pool of much less.
