SuSE 10.1 Install Problem: DVD not "found"
Greetings from a newbie! I'm trying to install SuSE 10.1 from the DVD that came with the Apress book "Beginning SuSE Linux" by Keir Thomas. The information I gleaned from the DVD is: "Linuxrc v. 2.0.37 <Kernel 2.6.16.13-4 default>" My problem is my DVD is not "found", i.e., I get the message "Could not find SuSE installation CD-ROM - Activating manual setup program" which prompts me for language settings then I get the message "Make sure CD 1 is in your drive" when it has been reading the DVD all along. My setup is:
Dell Optiplex 320
Pentium D 3.00GHz
1.96 GB RAM
DVD/CD-ROM TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-H653A
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated if they are phrased to a newbie (remembering I bought the book to learn how I can use SuSE).
Thanks - Conan
