    Mplayer in Suse 10.3 x86

    Hello everyone,

I am a new member in the linux community.I recently installed openSuse 10.3 x86 (bye bye crappy XP ). I tried to install w32 (i586) codecs and xvid in order to play .avi and .wma and although the 1-click-yast-installation went fine I still couldnt play the already mentioned formats so I thought it was good idea to install Mplayer. I downloaded the latest version and followed the instructions in order to install it.Everything went fine but the application isnt launching...
Am I doing sth wrong? Is there any other way to play avi and wma?

    Thanks a lot...
