    no of users limit

    Hi,

    We are having problems with suse linux, only 20 users seem to be able to log on. Is there somewhere I can look to solve this problem, we need at least 50 users.

    If you have that many you may be running into memory limits.

    What version? How much memory? 32 bit/64 bit? How are the users connecting?

    I doubt there is any hard programming limits but you may need to set configurations depending on how the users are connecting.

    Thank you for your response.
    The users use telnet to log on, I now think it may the parameters of xinetd.conf. We have more capacity in memory and disc than is necessary.
