    Question Modprobe fatal error using ndiswrapper

    The driver and the hardware are both present, however being a newbie I am having trouble with this module.

    Password:
    linux:~ # ndiswrapper -l
    Installed ndis drivers:
    bcmwl6 driver present, hardware present
    linux:~ # modprobe ndiswrapper
    FATAL: Module ndiswrapper not found.

    Was ndiswrapper compiled from source or was it installed via rpm? If it was installed via rpm try to uninstall and install from source.

    I installed it as a package through yast. I haven't looked at the source code yet. How would I compile it from the source code?

    First remove ndiswrapper current installation. Then download ndiswrapper from here (the stable). Also installation instructions
