    Where to find the correct qt library?

    Hi,

    I am trying to install cutecom but it ask me to install qt library. I tried to find it on trolltech.com but I don;t know which one to install. Can someone here help me?

    If you are running KDE, QT should already be installed.

    If you are running Gnome you should be able to use YAST to install QT.

    But when I compile cutecom it ask me to install qt library from trolltech.com. Any idea why??

    Just done a rpm -q qt it say qt pakage not installed.

    What is the exact error message you get when you try to compile the app?

    Hi,

    This is the error message:

    ./configure: line 14: qmake: command not found
    Could not execute qmake, which comes with the Qt library (Code Less, Create More — Trolltech)
    So go and install it

    I personally still think you'd be better off to use YAST to install the QT package. I know that it's available in the openSuse repositories because it can be found here:

    Index of /repositories/KDE:/Qt/openSUSE_10.3/i586

    If you really want to go the harder route and install from a QT tarball, here's a HowTo that explains how it's done:
