    Online Quicktime Movies Problem

    Hi guys!
I wish you will all have a Merry Xmas!
I use OpenSuse 10.3 Gnome and I have a problem.

I am on the apple website, page Apple - Mac and I am trying to view the videos that are in quicktime format using my FireFox browser. I get a black screen and nothing seems to happen. Does anybody know how to overcome this issue?

Oh, I have installed VLC and Totem. I don' t know what else is needed.

    Cheers!

OK are you trying to see the Mac/PC adverts?? They seem to be all mov format. You really should be able to view that. Have you installed the win32 codecs??

They view fine in KDE using Kafeine here.

    Love those Adverts pure genius

I agree, the adds are fantastic, but I am trying to view the
"Find out how to get more out of your Mac" videos on the page Apple - Mac
I have installed mplayer and all known codes. How can I check and see if I have installed the codecs you are referring to?

After installing mplayer I can see the quicktime movies. But to see them I must open them in Totem or Mplayer. Can't I see them inside the web browser?

I really don't think it can be done (it is apples fault) but....

try to associate the codec with a player in FF with Tools-Add-ons-Media
