    Firefox problem

I'm a newbie at Linux, but not Unix (AIX).

I've recently installed openSUSE 10.3 from the UK Linux Magazine's cover DVD and everything went well (*). The system boots OK and after I enabled the network services, Konqueror has no problems getting any web pages I want.

However Firefox can't find anything at all. There's obviously some setting I'm missing, any ideas?

(*) There was one file of what appeared to be icons that was corrupt, but I told the installation to ignore it and nothing seems to miss them!

Make sure you have IPV6 turned of. That is normally the problem,

Disable IPv6 for Firefox - openSUSE

What messages/response do you get from firefox when you try to bring up a web page?

Thanks, I'll try that the next time I fire up the Linux box.

    1 day LATER

Well that seems to have done it. I'm writing this using FF on my SuSe box.

    Thank you for your help.
