Miss-deleted the lib folder
I am the super beginner of Liunx system. Today, I have made a terrible mistake. I miss-deleted the /lib folder from the root. Could any one tell me how to recover it! Many thanks.

Did you have a backup? If so, you can boot from a live cd and restore the backup. If you did not have a backup, you may have to reinstall the OS in order to fix the problem.

Thanks a lot!
Unfortunately I do not have backup. I have a lot of useful data in my Linux, is it possible I can get them back?

Most of your data should be in the home directory which in Suse is normally installed on its own partition.
When you reinstall do a full install when it comes to the partition manually set the home partition to no reformat be sure the mount point is set to /home.
Set the root to reformat and mount as /.
This will preserve all your personal data and settings.
In this case an update may correct the problem and preserve all the programs and personal settings. Note update may cause problems if you have installed any apps outside of the ones normally on the distro. Generally reinstalling the apps will fix things. I perfer to do a full install as above and reinstall anything I might need. Rhis has the advantage of cleaning out all the old junk you might have installed and don't really need.
In either case you will have to reinstall any external drivers like 3D video etc.
