    Videos on linux

    currently on my linux machine, the realplayer can only play videos with real player format. I want it to be able to view .wmv, avi, mpeg format.

    Any recommends to download any decoder or anything to view this videos? I need them for work..

    I don't think RealPlayer for Linux supports those formats. You need to look at applications like mplayer or xine. Take a look at this article if you need help with setting up xine based applications.

    I like Kaffeine. it is a great player you will need to install the Win32 codecs which cover most Video file codecs.

    Assuming you run 10.3

    Hacking openSUSE 10.3 - Sofware in Review

    If not there are linkes on tha page for other versions. follow the instructions for your version.

    I've never tried it, but read lots of comments here on the forums that VLC will play just about anything out there, so maybe that would be an option for you.

    vlc is excellent - w32 codecs needed - 10.3 has repositories for both
