Thumbs down Download and install 10.3 (Newbie)

Ok, I DL 10.3, the CD. When I boot up , the boot takes me to the GParted screen. Since I already have the partition the way I want it I just want to began the install of Linux (KDE) itself. My problem...I see no way of beganing the Linux install. There is no option on the GParted screen to began the Linux install. I looked at the files on the CD with the ISO image I burned, and there is a Grub folder but I have no Idea how to get to it from the Gparted screen. Any ideas!

Ok you used gparted to partition the drive right???

Just close gparted down put the DVD into the drive and reboot.

At a point the installer will give you it's idea of a partition scheme. Select manual and make sure all are as you want them. The swap the root "/" and the /home and whatever else you may want make sure the are formated correctly you may or may not decide to have it format if you have them set the way you want. Be sure the mount points are correct ie / , /home, etc I have one I mount as VM for my virtual machines.

You really did not need to use gparted for this you can specify all the partitions from the installer.

When you got it the way you want it press continue.
