Problem In Installing Sles 10 In Dell Pe 2850, Problem with the Hard disk naming

    We have the following hardware:

Server: Dell PE 2850 with one Hard disk connected to Adaptec Controller.
External Disk Array: Two Hard disks in external disk array are connected to Megaraid controller.

I am trying to install SLES 10 in the internal Hard Disk that is connected the Adaptec controller. But the device name for the disk is appearing as /dev/sdc. Where as the two external disks connected through megaraid are /dev/sda and /dev/sdb.

I have no idea how to specify that it will detect the internal disk as /dev/sda. If I remove the external disk array, there is no problem - it is getting detected as /dev/sda. But my requirement is that I shoud install it when all the disks are connected.

Please suggest me How can I change the device naming.

    Thanks in advance,
    Martin.

I don't know how to do this ... but think it is likely to be in BIOS settings.
I use OpenSUSE which gives options for using device name/device ID/ ... /UUID. If you have similar options using device ID might help.
