    suse 10.3 compiz desktop

    Hey Guys,
I've managed to install the COMPIZ desktop ( emerald theme packages.)
they work fantastic on My ATI card.
However on desktop number one if I click anywhere in/on the desktop I lose my task bars.( panel)

if I switch to a different desktop they are there and they stay but just on the first desktop they're gone and only re-appear if I open an app. using one of the other desktops.

just wondering if there's a setting I missed in ccsm.
I've diabled auto hide panels and all that from the KDE.
I also can't get the fusion Icon to appear on the desktop

    any advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Hi how are you. i admire you manage to enable it. i did too but i had some issue with the interface which anywhere i click nothing happen but if you ATL+tab you can see the window you just open, its is weird. i used yast in terminal and uninstall it. now if it is possible can you tell me how you manage to enable it and work it out with no prob. i followed this guide Compiz Fusion - openSUSE. to be honest i couldnt find the /usr/bin/compiz-manager to edit it. i have a 1950GT from sapphire and fglrx working just perfect. i couldnt manage to enable the xgl as the guide instructed me to do it. sorry to bother you as you were asking something instead of help someone else but i will really appriciate.

thanks in advance i will keep trying.

    Hey,
I actually followed this thread, not the one from the SUSe site.

openSUSE 10.3: Running Compiz Fusion Using ATI Cards (mostly for KDE) « Linux and Open Source Blog
was less steps and worked, so far.
