    Permission denied...!How to salve it..

    I just download codecs for playing muvie..then,when i want to create folder,i cant..i want to create folder by command mkdir /usr/local/lib/codecs but it show : permission denied

    mkdir : cannot create directory /usr/local/lib/codecs ermission denied

    How to solve this problem...?
    Is there any password i need to enter?

    You need to have root privileges in order to create folders in this dir. Type su and your root's password and then try to create the folder
