What are best Suse 10 ( Gnome ) Internet Browsers?
I have a basic ( without any updates ) Suse 10 os and I use the Gnome desktop .
I went to google and looked up " Linux internet Browsers " and was quite surprised that there are so many. I thought it wiser to ask which of the many Linux browsers would work for me. I already have Konqueror, Firefox, Opera, Mozilla, and Epiphany.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank You!!

What any person thinks is the best can obviously vary greatly from person to person, but there's gotta be some good reasons for Firefox being the most popular/successful. I finally got tired of trying different browsers and just decided to stick with Firefox, at least for the immediate future.

Hi cousinlucky. I'm big on Firefox. It works better for me than the others I've used. On one of my really slow boxes, I use Links graphics which is the fastest browser you've ever seen. Blindingly fast...

Thanks for the help, gentlemen.
Is there some order for me to follow Dan for all of the downloadable stuff in your link?
I think I need nine or ten browsers on my desktop for the crazy way that I use my computer. I like Konqueror and Opera better than Firefox because I see less ads. I dislike Epiphany because it takes longer to get rid of all the cookies.

Yes, I know the first 3 will work, but I'm not familiar with the last one.
You might have trouble installing Amaya and Hot Java unless you can find ready-to-install packages in the suse repos. I'm thinking they probably have Galeon in the repos, already. Note that I've tried all those browsers (except for the last one) and I really don't think you are missing much by passing on them (just my opinion).
Of course, you'll never know for sure unless you try them yourself.oz

I value your honesty and your opinions very highly Ozar.
I do not visit Suse for any updates since I do not know how to use any of the stuff anyway. I've already messed up my file system twice.
I assign my bookmarks to categories and then assign those categories to different browsers. For instance only my Mozilla browser has a flash player so my Mark Fiore bookmark in on that browser.
My Firefox browser contains most of my " opinion " website bookmarks.
My Opera browser contains most of my email bookmarks.
It would be nice if I could get away from everything in my life for six months to learn Linux and read some of the untouched books that are piling up in my apartment!!

I simply break down the book marks to folders. I have a Linux folder with all the Linux bookmarks it has other folder for particular areas like graphic, hardware, etc. I don't see any real reason to run multiple web browsers unless you need to test web sites. Find one you like and stick with it, unless you are a web designer.

If you really want to see less ads, I suggest that you install AdBlock for Firefox. It works very well and it's extremely easy to install, just click on the install now button while using Firefox.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:1
It's about halfway down the page, in the Popular Extensions Category.
PS, it works for Mozilla and other browsers as well.
Firefox 1.5, Thunderbird 1.5, SeaMonkey 1.0, Flock 0.5, K-Meleon 1.02 (see Adblock Plus: Using Adblock Plus in K-Meleon for installation instructions), Songbird 0.2 - and higher. Note: It is recommended to use at least Firefox 2.0, Thunderbird 2.0, SeaMonkey 1.1, K-Meleon 1.1 or Songbird 0.2, support for older versions will likely be dropped in a few monthsI do not respond to private messages asking for Linux help, Please keep it on the forums only.
