    ftp connection refused

    I m installing suse Linux on the virtual machine and after I complete installation I wanted to download some software from the pc. But ftp connection is not ok connection refused ,what do you think I should do to solve the problem?

    look for firewall & make sure it is not blocking ftp connection..

    YAST -> Security and Users -> Firewall -> Allowed Services and select FTP server. If its not listed as a service, just click on the advanced button and enter port 21 in the list of ports to open.
