If you are sure 3D is supported (and you are using a driver that supports 3D), run sax2 and choose the option to enable 3D.

Have you installed the manufactures drivers??

If you have the 3D should be set on by default

    What card and chip set??

i cant check exactly what chipset now(heres the reason:http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/sus...r-quickly.html) , but im pretty sure i have a geforce 5400. or 6400. either way, it can even handle source soo im sure that a little piece of crap game would run with no probs.

and as far as the manufacturers driver cd's, i dont have them. i got my updates from nvidea.com or whatever. i think intel, but either way. i got it from there and just installed it through the .rpm package.

im pretty much slowly but surely getting my computer back on its feet. just up until a few hours ago, had no sound for almost a month =/

The manufacturers discs are probably useless if you are running Linux. You need to install the official nvidia driver, which you can get from Welcome to NVIDIA - World Leader in Visual Computing Technologies. Once you have installed the driver, you then need to run sax2 and it should detect the new nvidia driver (alternatively you can edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf and change the driver from nv to nvidia). Another option would be to follow the instructions at the opensuse website.

Did you follow the guide on how to install nvidia drivers in the link that was posted by scrarfussi?

dark i did, but my card is not listed.

    EDIT:
Matter of fact, i did a CTRL-F in ff to find it like that, and my card showed up. HOWEVER, its under the option of opensuse 10.1

    5. SUSE LINUX 10.1-IA32 / SLES10-IA32 / SLED10-IA32

should i use that one anyway even if i dont have that version? i have 10.2
