    Wireless connection issues

Hello everyone new to this forum and linux. Just installed opensuse on my ibm x61 laptop. I am having issues connecting to the wireless router. It sees all the available wifi but when I go to connect it won't. Previously I had ubuntu and sabayon linux on this same laptop and never had a problem. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

Did you install ndiswrapper wifi driver or you're trying native linux driver?

Here is quick note on this:

Also you're welcome to provide more information on what version of opensuse you have.

ok I did some research before i posted. I am running opensuse 10.3. I also have intel 3945abg on my laptop which when i checked is supported by suse. I google my problem and did some command line things which may give more experienced
users a insight into my problem.

logged in to terminal and did the ifconfig output

Also on another forum saw a user having the same issues he resolved it using the dhclient command which didn't work for me. the output

This is the best thing to do...once ndiswrapper is installed opensuse should be able to automatically find you router and configure a connection...I tinkered with manual driver installations and kernel updates and configs for a month before trying ndiswrapper...With ndiswrapper everything should configure auto...did you try it?
