    Cd Burning Questions

    well i tried to burn a cd with helix banshee and it gave me an error like it cant encode.

    i have ksmarttray manager, and i couldnt find cd burning software....

    either i need to figure out how to burn cds with helix banshee, or another program specifically designed for burning.

    any ideas?

    K3b, GnomeBaker, and Nautilus-CD-burner all work pretty well. You can find lots more to choose from here:

    Linux App Finder | Helping find the Linux apps you need

    Here's a good HowTo that covers burning under GUI and by command line if that helps any.

    Edit: Oh, and here's another one that looks kind of interesting:

    ::: BashBurn - It just works! :::

    I've seriously been thinking about trying it.

    I use K3b on OpenSUSE 10.3 (KDE) which seems to work well for me, I always select minimum burn speed.

    Me too. I've not had any real problems with it. The only problems I've seen are disc related (I bought a rack of cheap CDs and I'm almost finished them, thank goodness!)
