    Monitoring what?
    Since I dont know what you want to Monitor Id advice you to take a look at:
    - syslog-ng
    - htop
    - Conky
    - Wireshark
    - Tripwire
    - Snort
    - /dev/
    - /var/log/
    - /proc

    If you can make your Question a bit more accurate I can answer it a lot better.
