    Need help with Dscktop session

Hi everyone, I was trying to switch to KDE4 , so I loged out and on the new log in screen I saw the option METACITY and got curious and now I can only start to a black screen; and do not know how to go back to the Log in screen again to choose a new desktop...
I tried starting in safe mode and doing the command "startX" but it doesn't give me the full desktop!

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks
    Vasco

Press Alt+Ctrl+BackSpace. It will restart X Sever and drop you at Login Screen again. Click on Sessions Tab and select KDE or whatever you want.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Glad to help you and no need to be embarrassed. I am also a newbie in a lot of areas.
