SUSE sound bug (also on startup)
Hello,
I have a small problem with my openSUSE OS. The sound only comes stakato. I mean that it just "hangs" and plays the same bit over and over again. Just like a CD with scratches on it. But when I move my mouse, it plays completely fine! What is that all about? Anyone been into the same problem? Just the same case during the loading after login. When the computer seems to stop loading, and the intro sound hangs, I have to move my cursor around to keep the computer continue loading the system.
My laptop is a HP VD6240eu. Does anybody have any ideas?
Thanks!

I have not heard of a problem like that before but have just spent the last day fighting with the sound card on an HP laptop. If you have not already tried alsaconf I suggest that you do. Follow the instructions on the following link and see if it helps
AudioTroubleshooting - openSUSE
Good luck
