    How do I resolve Suse 10.3 realplayer dependencies

    I am a newbie having problems installing realplayer. After downloading from NOS on installation, I was able to install flash plugin ok, but with realplayer i came up with needing dependencies. What is the best proceedure to get these dependencies resolved so I get a clean install? Thanks sonnyboy7

    Hi.

    You need to post the exact error messages you got when trying to install RealPlayer and details of the missing dependencies. You can use YAST to install packages and RealPlayer is in the non-oss repository. What you need to do is YAST -> Software -> Community Repositories and add the main oss and main non oss repositories. After that go to YAST -Software -> Software Management and search for RealPlayer. You can then select it for installation and YAST will install it for you.

    Thanks daark.child that worked fine and solved the problem. I had neglected to dowload the main os repository. I am up and running with realplayer now.
