Lexmark z1300 or Lexmark Series 8592 support

I'm considering replacement of the Suse v10.0 which I'm currently using with Suse v10.3 and I wonder, those of you with Suse v10.3, when you have a moment, would one of you check to see if via the Yast printer configurations if there is a listing for a printer driver for the Lexmark z1300 OR if there is a listing for a printer driver for the Lexmark Series 8592?

I've got this printer up and running in my old copy of the MS software but I'd rather run the printer via Linux as opposed to the very annoying and now, seldom used MS side ... just couldn't pass up the asking price for the Lexmark Z1300! Was brand new - and less than thirty dollars! However and as expected, I can't get it to work with Linux - but I can "limp along" in MS from time to time - when the need arises.

Any ideas and suggestions would be appreciated.

Check the series on your lexmark, I can't find anything about that particular series that you listed at all; however, check out OpenPrinting database - Printer Listings once you have the full name of the printer. If it works in cups it'll work in Suse
    Operating System: GNU Emacs

Thanks for the reply. It was appreciated.

I checked the site and from what I can see, there's nothing at all there as far as a suitable LInux driver for the Lexmark z1300 printer.

Again, thanks for the interest and the reply.
