Shortcut Link or Icon
Hi, i'm a new for Linux and of course this forum. Want to share my problem on suse linux version 7.2. Glad if someone can help me. During configuration on our system, we created 2 icons (START & STOP). But we failed to create shortcut link for START. However we managed to run the START program from Shell Mode. Unknown causing this problem. Thanks for helps...

If you could clarify your question it may be easier to fix. Here is what I got:
1.) You wanted to create two icons (i'm going to presume that these are desktop icons linked to a program via your window manager). Each was linked to either an executable.
2.) The creation of one of the icons worked, but not the other.
3.) You can run the executable for the shortcut that didn't work from a shell.
What window manager are you using?Linux since: 2001
Gentoo since: 2004

Welcome to the forums, jster27!
Just curious... did you have some particular reason for going with the older Suse 7.2, older hardware maybe? Just want to make sure you know that it came out in June 2001, so it's no longer supported, and with 10.3 out now it has much better hardware support.
Hope you have fun with Linux.oz
