    SUSE liveCD locks up computer

My Acer laptop with Ubuntu on it is hung up. I ran a OpenSUSE liveCD on it to test out the distro. When I shutdown, my computer screen is stuck with most of it in green bars and the top in black. The computer itself will not do anything, and is currently running without me being able to stop it. I was at teh logout screen when I clicked shutdown and this happened.

Don't know what the problem is but you could just pull the battery if you can't shut down any other way.

But by now it probably has run down on its own

    CTL-ALT / DELETE won't stop it either?
