    kde 3.5.7 problem

i'm running 10.3 while i was messing around with kernel i affected my kde 3.5 it loads but all the windows are to the bottom right corner they wont move but i can work in them enter text select etc the minimise close and maximise links are also missing to close the window have to press alt+f4 there is only one desktop i cant add any more desktops cause when the window pops up it appears low in the right corner so i cannot click apply (i hope i'm making sense) basically what ever window i open goes into the same corner cant be moved or closed unless i press alt +f4
i also have kde4 and its working properly i think may be a package is missing on my kde3.5 but i dont know which one it is
