hi we are trying to print with a canon pixma ip1500 which is listed at linux foundation
OpenPrinting database - Printer: Canon PIXMA IP1500
installed bjfilter-common-2.50i386.rpm also bjfilter-pixmaip1500-2.50-i386rpm..
..the printer ...

printing in SLED 10.1 sp1
hi we are trying to print with a canon pixma ip1500 which is listed at linux foundation

..the printer is displayed in yast as configured ok but will not print any files ..i dont have the cups login password ...can i get this printer working in suse ?

Have you had a look at turboprint at: Turboprint for Linux
but as far as I know it is not free in any sense. - this is only from reports.

The cups login should be the root password. Try going to your web browser and entering localhost:631 in the location bar and configure the printer from there.
