    This should get you started. You might have to make adjustments from 10.0 to 10.3 though. So, you don't like Yast?

    If you are using openSUSE 10.3, take a look at the zypper command (and its GUI frontend YAST -> Software). This is the default builtin tool used by openSUSE. YUM can also be installed using zypper/YAST but I am not sure how useful it will be on openSUSE.
