grey/green screen after adduser and restart

    Dear All,
I have recently added a new user to my suse 10.3.
I used the yast control center.
Yast .. control center..... Security and users.
I added a user, and not a group
After rebooting I was able to choose the linux OS (it shares the pc with windows vista)
Everything seems to want to boot, the green screen and the loading bar appear.
The screen turns 'dirty' grey, (A little blue in it) and the keyboard and mouse do nothing,
I can log in 'failsafe' and I have access to a terminal. (I really am a novice with the terminal)
    Can any one help?

    Kevin

Did you install any updates recently? Which Graphics card do you have?

    Execute this in Failsafe Terminal
    Code:
    sax2
Reconfigure Display settings and reboot machine.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
