    how to make videos in Linux

    folks just like we have the windows movie maker in windows to make the movie of the images/.... what equivalent we can install on linux to make video of the pictures and have some background music>... And also edit videos??

    I prefer the application kdenlive, which is available from Packman for openSUSE. If you have a software package manager properly setup, then kdenlive installs quickly and painlessly on openSUSE.

    I believe kdenlive is the closest counterpart to MS Windows Movie Maker (especially in terms of similar ease of use).

    Windows Movie Maker has some fancy transitions that kdenlive does not have, but kdenlive has some features that Windows Movie Maker does not have.

    kdenlive has some simple video editing capabilities, but for more extensive cutting of videos, avidemux is pretty good.
