strange disk problem - multi-disk boot

    Dear SuSE/linux experts:

I have a workstation with 4 hard disks.

    Disk #1: MS Windows XP
    Disk #2: SuSE 10.3 32 bit
    Disk #3: SuSE 10.1 64 bit
    Disk #4: SuSE 10.2 64 bit

Disk #2 was the last install. No problem booting to Disk #2.
If I want to boot to disk #4, I selected disk #4 in grub, I got disk errors:
reiserfs_open: the reiserfs superblock cannot be found on /dev/sdb2
    Failed to open the filesystem.
..... and you need to run this utility with --rebuild-sb.

So, I went through reiserfsck --rebuild-sd /dev/sdb2 and now, I was able to boot to disk #4.

But, when booting to Disk #2, I got disk error again (but, not superblock issue as above). So, I fsck to fix the disk and was able to boot to Disk #2. But, now, the system fail to boot to Disk #4 again.

    Any suggestion?

    Does disk 3 boot ok?

I'm thinking mixing 32 bit and 64bit and grub.

Post the output of fdisk -l command and contents of menu.lst file that you are using to boot up OSes.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
