    DVD Issues

    When i insert a a dvd it says something about codecs not installed. i was trying to use kaffiene for my dvd playback
    hope you guys arent getting sick of my questions!
    also if any one has the link that show you how to compile software from tar.gz .bz2 or rpm or .run please send me a link i remember seeing it on this forum about a year ago ! thanks again
    and if any one knows anything about getting my dvd player to run its a samsung writemaster light scribe capable
