    XGL Error (GDM)

    Hi!

    I have a problem with OpenSuse 10.3.
I successfully installed my videocard (ati radeon 1300),
Later I enabled the XGL effects in console : gnome-xgl-switch --enable-xgl
and it was working... until that i reinstalled my Linux.
I was mark more programs when I installed Suse 10.3.
After I installed the ATI driver, and try to enabled XGl again, but now not working.

    Mike@MikeLinux:~> su -l
    Jelszó:
    MikeLinux:~ # gnome-xgl-switch --enable-xgl
    /var/run/gdm.pid doesn't exist, perhaps GDM isn't running

    I use KDE desktop.
Please help, I don't know why do this.
    thanks

The openSUSE XGL tutorial points to a solution in this thread if you get the error message you posted.
