    Exclamation openSuSE 10.3, no sound!

    Hey everyone!

Ok i just installed linux on my Toshiba p105-s9337 laptop,
everything is working great! Except for the sound, i have none at all.

I made so research to no avail, please keep in mind im a newbie with linux, trying to understand the OS as best as i can.

Well here's the 2 scripts you will probably ask me to run:
    tsalsa.txt - nopaste.com (beta)
    general pastebin - nucl34r - post number 925404

My soundcard is supposed to be Conexant HD audio.

Help me get sound working on that fabulous OS!

    Thanks in advance,

    NuCl34R

First go to Yast and configure the card. Test the sound by the advanced button

    If still no sound

in a console window become root

    su
then your root password (note this does not echo anything to the screen)

    run alsaconf

Still no sound be sure that your user account is a member of the audio group.

Links and info found using search.

And a link from that thread to more info.

Edit: This bug should not be present in the kernel and alsa version included with SuSE 10.3.

    From a related thread:

I have openSuse 10.3 and Mandriva 2008.0 running just perfect in this laptop with no custom DSDT file.
