a newbie.
Hi,
I have been using Suse just for 20 hours. I have two questions.
is there any configuration in Suse personal ed. to start the startx? So I can login from there??
The second is a bit tricky
. Dont know how but I installed "xmms-wma-1.0.3-1.i386.rpm" to being able to play my wma files. I did it! But after a restart now xmms is not responding and also Kaffeine is giving the "Xine-Eroor: No Demux Plugin" error...does anyone knows how to play wma under suse in a stable way?
Thanx

As far as getting a graphical login, you can set the default runlevel to 5 in your /etc/inittab. Look for this line:
and change the 3 to a 5.Code:id:3:initdefault:

sarumont was right about changing the default runlevel to login.about the second problem if you are sure that you installed it correctly or the programs(kaffeine and xmms )were working good before this rpm installation just remove it.
you can use rpm -e <filename.rpm> in konsole mode and in case you use suse you can remove it graphically using yast ->software->INstall and remove software.

ok, for xine to play practically all known audio/video formats:
goto http://packman.links2linux.org/?action=124
Download all the packages A to S
Then download the 5 packages under 'additionally needed binary packages'
Install all of these RPMs.
Then goto the site
http://cambuca.ldhs.cetuc.puc-rio.br/xine/ scroll to the bottom of the page and download the file 'libdvdcss-1.2.8-2.network.i386.rpm'
install this RPM
