    Can any one help me.......please
    i am new to linux..
    i used live cd to install opensuse.while installing after some time my monitor goes idle....i think some resolution problem .can anybody help me please.i same cd works in my friends system

    Which Graphics Card do you have?
    Highlight SuSe title in GRUB Menu and type single. Hit enter key.
    Does it boot up in command line mode? if yes, execute this
    Code:
    lspci | grep -i vga
grep -i driver /etc/X11/xorg.conf
    Post output here.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    Also tell us about the hardware your installing on. ie how much memory, what processor, what video card etc.
