    Question Failing To Boot SUSE 10.1 - "/init: Line: 383: 615 Segmention Fault

    Hello Friends,

    This is my first post and I hope someone can Guide me.

    I have HP AMD Athlon 64 3800+, 2GB RAM that has been working fine for about 6 months, but all of a sudden decided to Hang UP System and become unusable - reboot/shutdown required.

    Now on reboot I can get just past the Suse 10.1 / Suse 10.1 (Failsafe) /Boot options screen then it bombs out with:

    Normal Suse 10.1 mode :

    /INIT: Line: 383: 615 segmentation fault

    Suse 10.1 Failsafe :

    /INIT: Line: 383: 615 segmentation fault modprobe ahci $params loading atiixp

    It is running in a raid config with 2 mirrored disks, so I have tried booting from both disks with no joy.

    I have tried to find anything about this on the web, but haven't had much success.

    Has anyone seen this or know whats going on?
