Hi

I installed SuSE 10.3 for my girlfriend, and she doesn't like this green design. I mean the green boot picture and the green login skin. Have I any opportunity to change these images? Or can I download boot/login themes/skinks?

You can change whatever you want easily. Which Desktop Environment are you using? KDE or Gnome? Check *Eyecandy for your KDE-Desktop - KDE-Look.org and Eyecandy for your GNOME-Desktop - GNOME-Look.org.

So today I downloaded a bootsplash.
I extract this into the /etc/bootsplash/themes/ and open the yast -> system -> etc/sysconfig editor:

System
+Boot
++THEME

Setting of Theme:
SuSE

And in the listpanel I can choose only this bootsplash. I try to choose by hand, I wrote the folder name which contains these images. And rebooted the computer. First came up the old splash and later disappeared.
