Vmware server on Suse 10.3- now no disk space!! how to move everything to a new HDD

    Hey guys,
Quick question - I've got VMware Server installed on Suse 10.3 and it's running nicely.
However I'm in a small jam. I' haven't got enoguht disk space to create a virtual machine.

How would I move the entire os onto a new, larger HDD?

    Thanks

Add a second drive create partition to hold the VM's I named mine vm mount it as /vm or what ever you want to call it.

You can do the above in Yast.

reinstall VMware server when asked where to put the VM's select your new /vm directory.

    Hey Thanks for the advice.
no need for the reinstall though, in VM there's a gui to change the location of your VM files.

In any case it is a good idea to put your VM's in a separate partition away from the root partition so if you reinstall or upgrade they are safe.
