    How to install audio and video players

    Hello, evrybody

    I am new on linux and i cant install
    any application for audio and video
    player, is anybody who can help me
    how to install vlc or real player, on suse 10.0
    and where can i download.

    does suse have a built in player for video and audio????,
    how to activate it???

    Hi. You need to add the non oss, Packman and VLC software repositories to your list. You do this by going to YAST -> Software -> Community Repositories and select non oss, Packman and VLC. After that run YAST -> Software -> Software Management and select realplayer, VLC and any other packages you need.

    To install software with Suse just open YaST and select Software Mamagement under the Software tab. You can use that dialogue to search for and install your programs.

    rdesktop for win xp

    whats a non oss,
    on YAST -> Software -> there's no Community Repositories tab
    plz assist again

    My apologies, I thought you were talking about openSUSE 10.3. In openSUSE 10.0, you have to go to YAST -> Software -> Installation Sources and manually add a source. For Packman, select http as the protocol, enter packman.jacobs-university.de as the server address and suse/10.0 as the directory.
