    xsession for the user is disabled

    folks... i have this strange problem. I was just checking whether we can make the tcsh shell as the default shell (by editing the /etc/passwd). i changed the file, made the shell entry as /bin/tcsh and logged out. When i logged in again, and opened the terminal, it was tcsh. I again edited the /etc/passwd and made the shell entry /bin/bash (the old one) and logged out. When i tried to login with the same user , it gave me the error


    XSession: login for Kamran is disabled

    Your Session lasted less than 10 mins. There may be some problem with installation ot disk space. Check ~/.xsession-errors for details.


    Can any one tell?

    Login to the terminal and look at ~/.xsession-errors using and see if it provides any clues about whats wrong.

    that file is simply blank.Can any one tell.. i am stuck in it for 5 days!!!!!!!!!

    Are you running low on disk space?
