    Help Multimedia installation on linux suse 10.0

    Hello,
    this is my 4th week workin on linux,
    but i v been tryin to install any multimedia application
    on it, still it doesnt work,
    i installed amarok, xine ,xmms, and Mplayer and some other i found
    on the web but i failed,
    for example on amarok whenever i play something it goes through and give no error but this message "Playlist Finished", other dont even give anything except xine that is requiring some codecs.

    The point is i want to overcome this PLZ is anyone who can guide me on any of those player s installation.

    SUSE 10 is going out of support now, if not already gone so you may have trouble acquiring the necessary codecs to play your music/video. I would recommend moving up to 10.3 if you can.

    Alternatively you can try to install from source or locate mirrors of the 10.0 repositories.

    I agree with bigtomrodney. Switch to openSUSE 10.3 which has one click installation for multimedia codecs using the files available here.
