    SUSE 10.3 installation problem

I spent all day yesterday trying to install openSUSE 10.3 on a Lenovo T60 thinkpad.

Installation would begin normally, hardware would be detected, YaST would format and partition the hard drive, the repositories would load, and once everything was installed and it came time to reboot and boot from the hard disk to set up the root...

    I would get this error

on a black screen just after POST, "UNABLE TO BOOT FROM DISK".

I tried several attempts to install, using partmagic to partition the drive before installing, same problem, using a zeroed out HD and installing clean, same problem.

Just for s and g's I tried to install Ubuntu 7.10, and I had no problems at all. Does anyone have any advice for me?

    Stumped noob
