New To Linux
I've a Hp Dv9704tx laptop. I've dual boot , openSuse with Vista.
My sound runs good in Vista but its doesn't work on Ubuntu. Its Realtek. My graphics card is NVIDIA 6800M gs. This is also not working. Kindly Help. I tried some ways but I was unsuccessful. My interest for Linux is decreasing day by day.
I like linux....

Can you give us a little more details on your sound card? What is the output of this command:
For your Nvidia card, there are several methods to install proper drivers. One method is here:Code:lspci

I have a GeForce 6800. I followed the instructions found here. The "one click install" didn't work for me; I had to go through and do it the hard way, which I didn't find to be too hard.
