Installing Tuxpaint to SUSE Linux Enterprise 10.0

    Hi,

My son just loves this, but we had to get a new computer. I don't know much about linux so I can't figure out how to get this to work. I installed the file and whenever I click "Install" from Software Installer it says, "Dependency Resolution Failed Unresolved dependencies:
There are no installable providers of tuxpaint
Marking this resolution attempt as invalid."

How do i get it to work?

It should be in the OpenSuse repository. Have you tried installing from a repository via Yast?

    Welcome to the forums!

    Check this HowTo:

    YaST/Modules/Software Management - openSUSE

It should get you up and running.

    Try Tuxpaint

You also should be connected to the OpenSuse repository.

SLED/SLES 10 is based on openSUSE 10.1, so you need to download the rpms you need from an openSUSE 10.1 mirror or add the openSUSE 10.1 mirror to your YAST sources and then use YAST -> Software -> Software Management to install tuxpaint. Post back if you need detailed info.

Run YAST -> Software -> Software Repositories (or Installation Sources) -> Add. For the protocol, choose http. Server name: download.opensuse.org. The directory: distribution/SL-10.1/inst-source. Once that installation source is setup, go to YAST -> Software -> Software Management and search for tuxpaint, then select it for installation.

I tried doing that, but when I click next this pops up:
    Curl error for 'http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/SL-10.1/inst-source/suse/setup/descr/Gnome-10.1-67.noarch.sel':
    Error code: HTTP response: 403
Error message: The requested URL returned error: 403

    what now?
